2K has been emphasizing to its community over the past few weeks that it will not be changing anything related to gameplay. Before you get too worked up about it, this modification to the effectiveness of a few badges does appear to make logical sense. While it has been described as a "minor" change, it has the potential to have a significant impact on gameplay.
What Effect Will the Nerfing and Boosting of Badges Have on the Gameplay?
The defense in NBA 2K22 has significantly improved. This year's game, however, has seen a few 2K players complain about how easy it has been for defenders to steal the ball. Those who believe characters with the Unpluckable badge should be a little more resistant to players spamming the steal button have been particularly vocal in their displeasure.
In most cases, however, pounding the virtual rock is what gives players the most satisfaction. Because it is a video game, 2K must bend a little to meet these demands.
The Latest NBA 22 MT Update Receives Positive Reactions on Twitter
As is always the case, the 2K community is unable to come to a consensus on anything.
After a 2K player with no league affiliation decided to challenge him on it, FAB's take was seconded by Splashy (literally the best 2K player on the planet and a member of Jazz Gaming).
That is an idea that I agree with. Exerting excessive effort to perfect something that will never be universally recognized as perfect is a surefire way to ruin the thing in question.
Getting this one straightened out so soon after the recent update will be difficult.
